The color is a reflection of light that comes in many different forms, and this reflects a wide range.

If a narrow region of visible light wavelengths is absorbed by the material, a color will arise.

The white light is composed of a full spectrum of colors. If a narrow region of the white wavelength is absorbed by the substance, the rest of the wavelengths pass through the material and the human eye sees the combined wavelengths passing through the material.
